Thomas Chiles Perrin Scholarship/Award Fund

Thomas Chiles Perrin Scholar Award – to award students from South Carolina resident of Abbeville, Greenwood or McCormick County. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.000.

Thomas Chiles Perrin was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from the Abbeville District from 1842-1846 and then State Senator from 1846-1847. He was also a planter, president of the Greenville and Columbia Railroad, and a trustee of seven institutions of higher education and Georgia, including South Carolina College and the Presbyterian Theological Seminary at Columbia.
