Jesse A. Rutledge Scholarship
Awarded to a sophomore, junior, senior in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications. The scholarship will be awarded to a person of high ideals and moral character, who professes a desire to pursue a career in either journalism or public relations. The recipient must have completed one year of undergraduate work and have a demonstrated need. The Jesse A. Rutledge Scholarship was established by the sons of Mr. Rutledge to honor him. Mr. Rutledge is a 1929 School of Journalism graduate who was active in Sigma Delta Chi and on The Gamecock staff.
