T. M. "Babe"" Nelson Law Scholarship Fund"

This scholarship was created in December 1982 in honor of Commissioner T. M. “Babe” Nelson on behalf of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Nelson was the Commissioner of the SC Industrial Commission, now the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission, who served three terms as mayor of the town of St. Matthews and eight years as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives. Mr. Nelson died in November 1989. South Carolina resident.
