Prue Goolsby Endowment Fund

The Prue Goolsby Scholarship was created in September 2002 by The Honorable C. Tolbert Goolsby, Jr. and Dr. Lane Goolsby, in honor of their wife and mother, Mary Ellen Fraser Goolsby, better known to her family and friends as Prue. Mrs. Goolsby was employed at the McKissick Library at the University of South Carolina from 1960-1972. She joined the staff of the Coleman Karesh Law Library in 1973 where she was in charge of circulation and interlibrary borrowing and lending for 20 years until her retirement in 1993. The Scholarship is awarded to a law or graduate student who has expressed an interest in law librarianship and has worked at least two semesters in the Law Library.
