Samuel L. Latimer, Sr. and Sallie Belle Witherspoon Latimer Scholarship

Awarded to a sophomore, junior, senior in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications who are residents of York County or Richland County, SC. The scholarship was established by the late Samuel L. Latimer, Jr. in memory of his parents. Mr. Latimer, Jr. was a highly respected editor of The State and was a president of the South Carolina Press Association.
