Edward G. Carr Scholarship

Given to a master’s or doctoral student in Special Education, this award honors Edward G. Carr’s contribution to the lives of people with disabilities. Dr. Carr was a professor and the Director of the Research and Training Center on Positive Behavior Support for People with Autism and Developmental Disabilities at Stony Brook University. He was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver in 2009. This award is given to an outstanding master’s or doctoral student who has a career focus in autism.
